How to make Chettinad Style Naatu Kozhi Varuval | Chettinad Style Country  Chicken Fry

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Chicken
  • 1 cup finely chopped Shallots
  • 2 Tomatoes finely chopped
  • A handful of Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Fennel Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil

Method of preparation

  • first, let's start with chicken marination for that clean the chicken pieces and add turmeric powder and salt.
  • In a pan add oil, finely chopped shallots and sauté till onions turn soft.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell of the paste is gone. Add curry leaves and mix well.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  • Now add the marinated chicken and Add all the spice powders, mix well. let it cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Now add salt and about 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook till the chicken is fully cooked and all water is evaporated.
