How to make Chettinad Style Naatu Kozhi Varuval | Chettinad Style Country Chicken Fry
Ingredients
- 500 grams Chicken
- 1 cup finely chopped Shallots
- 2 Tomatoes finely chopped
- A handful of Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Fennel Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Black pepper powder
- Salt as needed
- 2 tbsp Cooking oil
Method of preparation
- first, let's start with chicken marination for that clean the chicken pieces and add turmeric powder and salt.
- In a pan add oil, finely chopped shallots and sauté till onions turn soft.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell of the paste is gone. Add curry leaves and mix well.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
- Now add the marinated chicken and Add all the spice powders, mix well. let it cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Now add salt and about 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook till the chicken is fully cooked and all water is evaporated.
