How to make chicken perattu
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg chicken
- 3 onions sliced
- 2 tomatoes sliced
- 2 chopped green chilli
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp fennel powder / garam masala
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
- Handful curry leaves
- 1 Tsp chopped coriander leaves and dry coconut ( optional )
- 3 tsp coconut oil
Method of preparation
- Heat a pan add oil, fennel seeds, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste saute for 2 min.
- Now add onions, tomatoes, green chilli and saute for 5 min.
- Add the chicken pieces and saute for 2 min.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, fennel powder, pepper powder, salt as needed and mix well.
- Now add 1/4 cup water and cover cook until the chicken cooks well.
- Now add the cumin powder and mix well and add chopped dry coconut and coriander leaves. Mix well and cook on low flame for 5 min.
Tasty chicken perattu is ready now enjoy with some parotta, dosa, roti.
