Today am gonna show you a Kerala special chicken perattu recipe. Let's see how to make it.

How to make chicken perattu


Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chicken
  • 3 onions sliced
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 2 chopped green chilli
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp chilli powder 
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 tsp fennel powder / garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • Handful curry leaves
  • 1 Tsp chopped coriander leaves and dry coconut ( optional )
  • 3 tsp coconut oil

Method of preparation

  • Heat a pan add oil, fennel seeds, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste saute for 2 min.
  • Now add onions, tomatoes, green chilli and saute for 5 min.
  • Add the chicken pieces and saute for 2 min.
  • Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, fennel powder, pepper powder, salt as needed and mix well.
  • Now add 1/4 cup water and cover cook until the chicken cooks well.
  • Now add the cumin powder and mix well and add chopped dry coconut and coriander leaves. Mix well and cook on low flame for 5 min.



Tasty chicken perattu is ready now enjoy with some parotta,  dosa, roti.
