Today am going to share you another spicy mutton recipe which is Mutton Pepper Fry / MuttonPepper Sukka. Let's see how to make it.

How to make Mutton Pepper Fry / Mutton Pepper Sukka Recipe

Ingredients

  • Mutton 300gm
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup  coconut and fennel  seed paste
  • 1/2 tomato finely chopped 
  • 1/2 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 2 green cardamom 
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder 
  • 1 tsp curry powder/Garam masala powder 
  • 2 tbsp pepper powder 
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • A handful of curry leaves and coriander leaves 
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • salt as needed

Method of preparation 

  • Take a pressure cooker  add mutton pieces, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 5 whistles.
  • Now take another pan to add coconut oil, once the oil gets heat now add fennel seeds,  cardamom, cloves, curry leaves.
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes.
  • Add onion and tomato saute until translucent.
  • Now add pepper powder, red chilli powder, curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder. Mix well and cook in low flame.
  • Meanwhile, the mutton cooked wells now add the cooked mutton in the onion masala and mix well.
  • Check for salt and add salt if needed.
  • Now add coconut and fennel seed paste into mutton. 
  • Cover cook for about 10 -20 min or till the masala becomes dry.
  • Once the masala comes to dry consistency switch off the flame and add some coconut oil and mix well.
  • Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves.
