How to make Mutton Pepper Fry / Mutton Pepper Sukka Recipe
Ingredients
- Mutton 300gm
- 2 onions finely chopped
- 1/2 cup coconut and fennel seed paste
- 1/2 tomato finely chopped
- 1/2 tbsp fennel seeds
- 2 green cardamom
- 3 cloves
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp curry powder/Garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- A handful of curry leaves and coriander leaves
- 2 cups of water
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- salt as needed
Method of preparation
- Take a pressure cooker add mutton pieces, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 5 whistles.
- Now take another pan to add coconut oil, once the oil gets heat now add fennel seeds, cardamom, cloves, curry leaves.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes.
- Add onion and tomato saute until translucent.
- Now add pepper powder, red chilli powder, curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder. Mix well and cook in low flame.
- Meanwhile, the mutton cooked wells now add the cooked mutton in the onion masala and mix well.
- Check for salt and add salt if needed.
- Now add coconut and fennel seed paste into mutton.
- Cover cook for about 10 -20 min or till the masala becomes dry.
- Once the masala comes to dry consistency switch off the flame and add some coconut oil and mix well.
- Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves.
