Health benefits of goat meat

Goat meat is the leanest meat. Well, believe it or not but fat contained in goat meat is lesser than fat contained in chicken. So, chicken breast is not the only source of fatless protein for your healthy lifestyle, goat meat could be the alternative.



Ingredients

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Basmati rice 2 cup
  • Curd 1/2 
  • Green chilli 3
  • 2 big sliced onions
  • 1 tomato chopped
  •  Chopped Mint and coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp biriyani Masala paste
  • 2 cardamom
  • 2 rejected Patta
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 star anise 
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Water
  • Food color / saffron threads
  • 6 Cashews 
  • Ghee and oil 4 tsp each


Method of preparation 

  • Fry some onions and cashew in ghee and keep it aside
  • Take a pressure cooker add cleaned mutton, curd, green chilli,salt and 1 cup water cook for 3 - 4 whistle 
  • Make a fine paste of 1 tej Patta, 2 cardamom,1/2 tsp poppy seeds,fennel seeds by adding 1 tsp water
  • Now take another pan add ghee 2 tsp and 2 tsp oil , star anise, cardamom,tej patta, bay leaf , cloves, fennel seeds,  ginger garlic paste

  • Now add chopped onions and cook till onions get caramelized texture
  • Add split green chilli and chopped tomatoes 


  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt as needed , biriyani Masala paste
  • Mix and cook well for 2 -3 min

  • Now add the cooked mutton with broth keep in low flame and cook well for 15 min
  • So now the gravy thickened and keep aside 

  • Now cook the basmati rice separately by this method
  • So now it's time to keep dum
  • Take a vessel grease with ghee add layer by layer first half cooked rice , on top mutton gravy next add fried onions and cashwes on top add the food color which I have already desolved in 1 tsp water repeat this process .





  • Garnish with mint and coriander leaves and close the vessel tightly 




  • Now keep it in dum by heat a pan add water on top place the vessel which contain biriyani and top of it place another vessel which contain boiling water and close it keep dum for 20 min in low flame 



Tasty mutton dum biriyani is ready now best with raita
