How to make chicken biriyani in pressure cooker
Ingredients
For marinating
- 1/ 2 kg chicken pieces
- 1/2 cup curd
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Chopped mint and coriander leaves
For biriyani
- 2 cup soaked basmati rice
- 3 cup water
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 1 cup sliced tomatoes
- 2 green chilli
- 1 tsp Shahi jeera
- 2 tsp ghee
For biriyani Masala
- 2 green cardamom
- 1 black cardamom
- 4 cloves
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 2 cinnamon stick
- 1 bay leaf
Method of preparation
- Dry roast all the ingredients given for biriyani Masala and make fine powder of it store in a airtight container.
- Now take a mixing bowl add all the ingredients given for marinating . Mix all and keep in refrigerator for 5 to 6 hrs.
- Now heat a pressure cooker add ghee, shahi jeera, sliced onions and tomatoes saute well till onions gets cooked well.
- Now add the marinated chicken pieces and add 1 tsp biriyani Masala.
- Mix well and add 3 cup water and salt as needed.
- Now add the soaked Basmati rice and mix well.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistle.
Yummy chicken biriyani is ready now enjoy with curd raita.
