How to make Thai Yellow Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 red chilli
- 1/4 cup diced capsicum
- 1 Tomato finely chopped
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups of chicken stock
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 cup frozen peas
- Salt as needed
- Garnish some basil leaves
Method of preparation
- Heat a deep pot in medium flame adds oil in it.
- Now add chopped onions, garlic and red chilli saute it until onions cook well.
- Add tomatoes, capsicum, peas and saute it again for a couple of minutes.
- Add the basmati rice and mix well and add chicken stock, lime juice, soy sauce, turmeric and mix well.
- When the stock starts to bubble cover the pot with a tight lid and cook for 15 to 20 min.
- Now open the lid and cook for 5 min so that excess water gets evaporated.
- Garnish with some chopped basil leaves and Serve it hot.
