How to make Mysore Bonda 


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Urad Dal 
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coconut bits 
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper 
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Salt 
  • 2 tbsp chopped Coriander & curry leaves 
  • 2 tsp Rice flour 
  • 1 tsp chopped Green chilli and ginger 
  • Oil to deep fry

Method of preparation

  • Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours and grind with less amount of water until smooth it should not be too watery.
  • Add chopped coconut bits, salt, asafoetida, coriander/curry leaves, rice flour, black pepper and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan and keep a small bowl of water to grease your hand.
  • Grease your hand well with water and make small sized balls.
  • Drop in oil and cook bonda in low flame else it will be burnt easy. so fry it on low flame only. Continue with rest of the batter.
  • Drain the excess oil and the crispy Mysore bonda is ready.
Tasty and Crispy Mysore Bonda is ready now serve hot with coconut chutney.
