Today am gonna show another kabab recipe which is Shami Kabab. Let's see how to make it.

How to make Shami Kabab


Ingredients

  • 200gm lamb-boneless 
  • 1 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder
  • 2 pieces ginger-cut into 1
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste
  • 5 green chillies-chopped
  • 1 tsp black cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup Bengal gram
  • 1 egg
  • 2 black cardamoms
  • 4 green cardamoms
  • 2cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 10 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp coriander-chopped
  • oil for frying

Method of preparation

  • In a pan, add the meat, water, Bengal gram, black and green cardamoms, cinnamon sticks, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, dry ginger powder, ginger and garlic paste.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and continue to cook it until all the water has evaporated and the meat is cooked. Remove from heat and keep aside.
  • Add the cooked meat in a blender and blend it well, by adding the green chillies, black cumin seeds, egg and coriander leaves.


  • Now Divide the mixture equally into the lemon size and shape each of them into a patty.
  • Heat the oil in a pan; deep-fry the patties until they turn a golden brown.Remove and drain the excess oil.


Tasty and crispy Shami Kabab is ready. Best with Mint chutney.
