How to make Chicken 65 Biryani Recipe
Ingredients
To marinate
-Foodlecious- Chicken 1/2 kg
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 Tsp
- Curd 2 tbsp
- Oil to deep fry
- Salt to taste
For the biryani
- Basmati Rice - 1.5 cups
- 3 large onions, sliced
- 3 tomatoes chopped
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Shahi jeera 1 tsp
- Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
- Bay leaf 1
- Cinnamon stick 1
- Cloves 4
- Cardamom 3
- Mint leaves 1/4 cup
- Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
- Green chilli 4
- Biryani masala 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice 1 Tsp
Method of preparation
- Clean the chicken well and marinate with all the ingredients mentioned under to marinate except oil and Marinate for 2 hours.
- Heat a pressure cooker add oil, bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, shahi jeera, Fennel seeds, Ginger garlic paste and saute it well.
- Now add sliced onions, tomatoes and green chilli and saute till until tomatoes get mushy.
- Meanwhile, heat another pan add oil and fry the marinated chicken pieces and keep aside.
- Now add this fried chicken pieces in the pressure cooker and mix well.
- Now add biryani masala, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, lemon juice and salt. mix well.
- Add soaked basmati rice and 2 1/2 cup water mix well and close the lid.
- Cook for 3 whistles. Serve it hot with onion raita.
