How to make Jeera Rice | Jeera Pulao Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup basmati rice
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 onion finely sliced
- 2 green chilli
- 2 tbsp jeera/cumin seeds
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 green cardamom
- 4 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt as needed
- 2.5 cups water
Method of preparation
- Soak basmati rice for 20 min.
- Heat a pressure cooker add ghee, bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds.
- Now add sliced onions, green chillies and saute it until translucent.
- Add soaked rice and saute it for 2 min.
- Now add salt, water and cook for 2 - 3 whistles.
- After 3 whistles remove it from the stove and open the lid.
- Use a fork and fluff the rice and serve it hot with any paneer gravy or gravy of your choice.
