Pesarattu Dosa With Ginger Chutney

Hello foodies, 
Today I am here to share with you another healthy breakfast recipe which is Pesarattu Dosa with spicy Ginger Chutney. This combination is one hell combination and its a must-try recipe. My kid just loves it and he even names it as hulk dosa as it is in green color. So everyone tries this recipe and it's good for your health too. Let's see how to make it.

How to make Pesarattu Dosa With Ginger Chutney 


Ingredients 

For dosa batter 


  • 500 gm green gram soaked in water overnight 
  • 2 green chili
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1-inch ginger piece
  • 1 bunch of coriander leaves
  • 3 tbsp rice flour or you can soak 200gm raw rice soak it overnight
  • 1 cup of water 
  • Salt as needed

For Dosa 

  • 1 cup onions for garnish 
  • Oil as needed for dosa

For Chutney 

  • 3 small piece of ginger 
  • 1 tbsp urad dal
  • 1 tbsp Bengal gram
  • 4 red chilies 
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp jaggery powder
  • Water as needed
  • Salt as needed

For Temper


  • Mustard oil 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 dry red chili 

Method of preparation 


  • First let's drain the green gram and put it in a mixer then add a ginger piece, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, salt and grind it until a smooth paste. Add water little by little. 




  • Now add rice powder and mix well. So I have used rice powder, if you are using raw rice, then drain the raw rice and grind it until smooth and add this mixture to the dosa batter, mix well and keep aside.

  •  Heat the dosa pan and grease with oil.
  • Once the pan gets heat to add the prepared dosa batter and spread it widely.
  • Garnish with some chopped onions and sprinkle some oil on the edges of the dosa.
  • Now turn the other side and cook both sides until crispy.




  • Now our dosa is ready, let's make the Chutney. 
  • Heat a pan add 1 tsp oil and saute onions, ginger, urad dal, Bengal gram, red chili.  
  • Take a mixer to add the sauteed onion mixture for ginger Chutney and grind it until smooth.





  • Now heat a pan add all the ingredients listed below temper and add it to the Chutney. 
  • Check for salt if needed add at this stage.

  • Here comes our easy Pesarattu Dosa with Ginger Chutney is ready.
