How to make Vegan Chow Mein Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pack chow mein noodles (you can substitute with ramen noodles if needed)
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 cup julienne-cut carrots
- 1 1/2 cups sliced cabbage
- Chopped Spring onion for garnish
Method of preparation
- Let's start by cooking the noodles, take a pan to add water, 1 tbsp peanut oil, salt, and once the water is boiled, add noodles and half cook it.
- Drain the noodles and keep it aside.
- Now heat another pan and add 2 tbsp peanut oil and fry the cooked noodles until golden color and keep it aside.
- Now heat another wok and add 2 tbsp oil, chopped garlic, ginger, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, and saute for 10 minutes.
- Take a mixing bowl to add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, salt, sesame oil and mix well.
- Now add this sauce mixture to the sauteed veggies and mix well.
- Add the fried noodles and mix well, fry the noodles for 5 to 10 minutes.
