How to make chocolate cake
- Cocoa powder 1 1/2 cup
- All-purpose flour 4 cups ( preferably maida )
- Powdered sugar 3 cup
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- Baking powder 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda 1/ 4 Tsp
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup warm water
- Vanilla essence
Ingredients for chocolate frosting
- Dark chocolate 8 pieces
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Ingredients for decorating
- Chocolate chips
- Grated dark chocolate
Method of preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Take a mixing bowl add 1 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 4 cups all-purpose flour and mix well
- Now add powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, pinch salt mix it properly
- Now mix butter, buttermilk, warm water, vanilla essence, egg. Beat the mixture properly until smooth
- Now butter your baking tray and dust it using some cocoa powder remove the excess
- Now add the cake batter to the tray and bake it for 25 min
- Now check whether the cake is ready using a toothpick test ( insert a toothpick in the cake it comes out clean then the cake is ready)
- Now turn out the cake onto racks and allow it to cool
- Method of chocolate frosting
- Take bowl mix butter, dark chocolate, milk and powdered sugar keep it in the oven over 180 degrees for 5 mins
- Check whether the chocolate mixture is thick if not keep it again for 5 more mins
- Now add the chocolate frost to cake layer by layer
- On top decorate the cake using some chocolate chips and grated chocolate
