How to make chettinad Egg Curry Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 boiled eggs
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 5 curry leaves
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- For dry roast
- 1 tej patta
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp coriander
- 5 dry red chilli
- 1 star anise
- 1 cup grated coconut
Method of preparation
- Heat a pan add all the ingredients above listed in dry roast . Dry roast and make fine paste of it by adding 1/2 cup water and keep aside.
- Now heat a pan add 2 tsp oil , cumin seeds, curry leaves , ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, tomato, green chilli and saute for 2 - 5 min.
- Once the onion cook well add the coconut paste and add salt as needed .
- Let it cook for 5 min or till the gravy thicken.
- Now add the boiled eggs and give nice mix to it.
- Add 1 tsp coconut oil on top of it and close with a lid.
- Remove from stove .
Tasty chettinad egg curry is ready now . Enjoy with hot steamed rice or chapati.
