How to make chettinad Egg Curry Recipe


Ingredients

  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 5 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • For dry roast 
  • 1 tej patta 
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 5 dry red chilli
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cup grated coconut

Method of preparation

  • Heat a pan add all the ingredients above listed in dry roast . Dry roast and make fine paste of it by adding 1/2 cup water and keep aside.
  • Now heat  a pan add 2 tsp oil , cumin seeds, curry leaves , ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, tomato, green chilli and saute for 2 - 5 min.
  • Once the onion cook well add the coconut paste and add salt as needed .
  • Let it cook for 5 min or till the gravy thicken.
  • Now add the boiled eggs and give nice mix to it.
  • Add 1 tsp coconut oil on top of it and close with a lid.
  • Remove from stove .

Tasty chettinad egg curry is ready now . Enjoy with hot steamed rice or chapati.
