How to make Chenna Masala
Ingredients
- Cooked chickpeas 2 cup
- 2 big onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 2 green chilli slit
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- Handful of coriander and mint leaves
- 1/2 tsp garam Masala
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- Crushed Kasuri methi leaves
- 5 tbsp cashew paste / fresh cream
- Fennel seeds 1 tsp
- Oil
- Salt as needed
Method of preparation
- Heat a pan add 1 tsp oil, chopped onions , tomato, green chilli , coriander and mint leaves.
- Saute for 10 min.
- Now add garam masala, chilli powder, coriander powder , cumin powder, turmeric powder. Saute for 2 min.
- Switch off the flame and allow it to cool .
- Now make a fine paste of it and keep aside.
- Heat a pan add 2 tsp oil , fennel seeds and grinded paste.
- Add salt and cooked chickpeas.
- Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 min.
- Add the cashew paste and cook for 10 min.
- It should be in dry consistency.
- Now garnish with crushed kasuri methi leaves.
Tasty chana masala is ready now .
