How to make Kaju Pulao | Cashew Pulao
- 200 gm basmati rice
- 20 - 30 cashews
- 1 big onion sliced
- 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 2 cloves
- 1-star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 cardamom
- 1 bay leaf
- salt as needed
- 3 tbsp ghee/oil
Method of preparation
- So first we need to cook the rice separately for that take a vessel add water, cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, star anise, cloves, salt and 1 tsp oil let it boil.
- Now add the soaked basmati rice and let it cook.
- Once rice cooked drain it and keep aside.
- On another side heat, a pan adds 3 tbsp ghee, ginger garlic paste and sliced onions saute it until translucent.
- Now add cashews and saute it until golden brown.
- Now add the cooked rice and give a nice mix. let it cook on low flame for 5 min.
- Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves ( optional)
Tasty Cashew Pulao is ready now. serve hot with paneer gravy or with any veg gravy.
