How to make Pita Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cup maida flour
  • 2 tbsp active yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Method of preparation

  • Take a bowl add warm water and active yeast mix well and keep aside for 10 min.
  • Now add sugar, salt and 1 cup flour and mix well with the mixture to rise and make a loose sponge. Keep aside for 5 min.
  • Now add the remaining flour and start kneading the dough.
  • Now grease some olive oil and cover it with a wet towel and keep aside till the dough rises double the size. It will take about 2 to 3 hrs.
  • Now you can see the dough gets double the size. Now divide the dough and make small balls and again cover it for 30 min. So that the dough will get double the size again.


  • Now you can see the dough is ready.
  • Roll it with a rolling pin.
  • Heat a pan brush some oil and place pita bread dough, cook until bread begins to puff up. Flip and cook 2 more minutes.Pita bread will begin to puff up.



Tasty Pita Bread is ready now.
