Here I am going to show you another spicy quail recipe. Quail Roast or Kaada Roast.
This recipe is very easy to make and can serve it with roti or parotta or Rice. Let's see how to make it.
How to make Quail Roast or Kaada Roast Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 gm quails
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp pounded ginger
- 3 tsp pounded garlic
- 3 green chillies, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- ½ cup shallots, sliced
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 3 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp fennel powder
- 1 cup thin coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- Curry leaves and coriander leaves for garnish
Method of preparation
- Marinate the quail in the turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and vinegar for half an hour.
- Heat the oil in a saucepan. Fry the quails for 2 minutes on each side. Drain the quails.
- In the same oil, add the ginger and garlic and cook till raw smell goes.
- Add the onion and chillies and saute till translucent.
- Add in the tomato and cook until everything get mashed.
- Add in the red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and saute till nicely cooked.
- Add in the quails and coconut paste and cook till well done and the masala is dried and well coasted.
- Sprinkle some garam masala and cook for another two minutes.
- Switch off and serve warm garnished with curry leaves and coriander leaves with rice or Roti.
