How to make chicken salna
Ingredients
- 1/2 Chicken pieces ( with bone can be used)
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cardamom
- 2 cloves
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- Grated coconut 1/2 cup
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt as needed
- Oil for cooking
Method of preparation
- Heat a pan add 2 tsp oil add , cardamom, cinnamon stick, star anise, bay leaf , fennel seeds , cloves, grated coconut fry for 5 min and make a fine paste of it .
- Heat a pressure cooker and add oil , chopped onions , ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes ,saute for 5 min till onions cook well.
- Now add chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt as needed.
- Now add chicken pieces and mix well .
- Add the coconut paste and 1 cup water .
- Pressure cook for 1 whistle.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Tasty restaurant style chicken salna is ready now . Enjoy with parotta.
