How to make Kerala Style Tuna Fish Curry | Kerala Style Choora Meen Curry
Ingredients
For Fish Marinating
- Tuna Fish 1/2 kg
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Salt as needed
For Coconut Paste
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 small piece ginger
- 3 small onion
- Small pieces tamarind
- 1 /4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt as needed
For Tempering
- A handful curry leaves
- 2 green chilli finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
Method of preparation
- Let's start with fish marinating, take a bowl add all ingredients listed in fish marinating. Mix well and keep aside.
- Now grind all ingredients listed in coconut paste. Make a fine paste and set aside.
- Heat an earthen pot add coconut oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies.
- Now add the coconut paste and 1 cup water mix well and cover cook in medium flame for 10 min.
- Now add the marinated tuna pieces and swirl the pot and check for salt. If needed add it at this stage.
- Now cover cook for 10 min in medium flame. Now add 1 tsp coconut oil and switch off the flame.
- Serve it hot with Rice Or Kappa.
