Roasted Chicken Recipe - Easy Oven Roasted Chicken Rrecipe

Today am going to share a very easy and tasty Whole Roasted Chicken recipe in the oven. Let's see how to make it.

How to make Roasted Chicken Recipe


Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chicken at room temperature and remove neck and giblets from chicken
  • 2 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 Tbsp curry powder
  • 2 Tbsp Curd
  • 1 Tsp mixed herbs
  • Salt as needed 
  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1/2 capsicum chopped

Method of Preparation

  • Firstly let's start by cleaning chicken for that remove giblets, skin and neck parts from chicken and wash it properly including the cavity.
  • Now pat dry the chicken with paper towels. 

  • Take a bowl to add chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, mixed herbs, curry powder, curd, salt and lemon juice, mix all together and keep it aside.





  • Now as I have shown in the picture slightly cut the chicken using a knife, by doing this the chicken marinates pretty well.

  • Now Rub the masala mix to all over the chicken and under the cavity also.
  • Now keep it aside for 2-3 hrs.


  • Meanwhile Preheat 430 degree f and grease the baking tray with butter.
  • Stuff the chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicum inside the cavity and use toothpick to seal the cavity.
  • Now Tie the chicken legs using a kitchen string.



  • Now place the breast side up to the baking pan and brush some butter in it.
  • Roast the chicken for 1 hour, basting halfway through the cooking time, until juices run clear.


  • Baste again and broil for 2 -5 minutes, until golden brown colour.

  • Remove from Oven and Drizzle with pan juice and remaining lemon wedges.
  • Serve it with lemon wedges, sliced or roasted veggies.
