Palak Paneer Recipe

Today i am going to show a super tasty and healthy punjabi style palak paneer recipe. lets see how to make it.

How to make palak paneer













Ingredients

  • Palak (spinach) chopped 2 cup
  • 200 gm cubed paneer
  • Ginger 1/2 peice
  • 2 green chilli
  • Sugar a pinch
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 big onion chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup cream / cashew paste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi leaves

Method of preparation

  • Take a bowl add 1 cup water and chopped spinach ( palak) and blanch it for 5 min.
  • Take a blender and blanched spinach , ginger, green chilli and pinch of sugar and grind it to a fine paste . 
  • Heat a pan add 1 tsp ghee and shallow fry the paneer cubes and set aside.
  • In the same  pan add  more ghee , cumin seeds, chopped onions and saute for 2 min.
  • Add the spinach puree and cook for 2 min.
  • Add red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder,salt as needed.
  • Cook for 5 min and add the fried paneer cubes.
  • Again cook for 5 more min, add the cream / cashew paste in it . cook 2 min .
  • Garnish it with crushed kasuri methi leaves.
Tasty and healthy palak paneer is ready now enjoy with hot Naan /  Roti,
