Today am gonna show you how to make plain biriyani recipe in a pressure cooker. Let's see the recipe.
How to make Plain Biriyani
Ingredients
- 2 cups soaked basmati rice
- 2 onions sliced
- 2 tomatoes sliced
- 1 cup chopped pudina and coriander leaves
- 4 cloves
- 2 green cardamom
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seed
- 2-star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 bay leaf
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 3 cup coconut milk
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp biriyani Masada
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp ghee or oil
Method of preparation
- Heat a pressure cooker add ghee and all the spices above mentioned.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off.
- Now add sliced onions, tomatoes and green chills and saute until it cooked well.
- Now add the chopped greens( pudina and coriander leaves) give a nice mix.
- Now add red chilli powder, biriyani Masala, turmeric powder and saute it for 2 - 3 min.
- Add the coconut milk and salt and give a nice mix.
- Now add the soaked rice and cook for 2 whistles.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and check whether
Tasty Plain Biriyani is ready. serve it hot with Onion Raita.
