Hello foodies,
Today am gonna show you how to make plain biriyani recipe in a pressure cooker. Let's see the recipe.

How to make Plain Biriyani 

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups soaked basmati rice
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 1 cup chopped pudina and coriander leaves 
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom 
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seed 
  • 2-star anise 
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 cup coconut milk 
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp biriyani Masada
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp ghee or oil


Method of preparation 

  • Heat a pressure cooker add ghee and all the spices above mentioned.
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off.
  • Now add sliced onions, tomatoes and green chills and saute until it cooked well.
  • Now add the chopped greens( pudina and coriander leaves) give a nice mix.
  • Now add red chilli powder, biriyani Masala, turmeric powder and saute it for 2 - 3 min.
  • Add the coconut milk and salt and give a nice mix.
  • Now add the soaked rice and cook for 2 whistles. 
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and check whether 




Tasty Plain Biriyani is ready. serve it hot with Onion Raita.
